Grant Guidelines

 

The Hershey Foundation is drawn to unique, innovative and impactful projects for children in Northeast Ohio.

 
 

Priority is given to:

New Initiative

As of November 1, 2021, The Hershey Foundation has a new strategic initiative to empower educators and community leaders to dismantle patterns of racism and injustice in our schools and neighborhoods in NE Ohio. We envision a world where all young people learn and thrive in racially equitable, liberating, and empowering educational spaces.

Funding is provided for:

  • equipment that directly impacts the children

  • capital campaigns

  • endowment campaigns


Funding is not provided for:

  • salaries

  • computers, software or technology

  • annual campaigns

  • research or feasibility studies

  • consulting services

  • operating budgets

  • individual loans

  • scholarships

  • general purposes

  • mass mailings

  • individuals


The Hershey Foundation reserves the right to initiate and fund projects and organizations that are of particular interest to family members.

 

Eligibility

The Hershey Foundation only makes grants to organizations which are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals.
